On May 8, 2021, the Schulz Museum presented an online discussion exploring mental health in comics with cartoonists Brick (aka John Stuart Clark of Depresso), Gemma Correll (#MentalIllnessFeelsLike campaign for Mental Health America), and Ellen Forney (Marbles: Mania, Depression, Michelangelo, & Me). The discussion was moderated by cartoonist, medical professional, and founding member of the Graphic Medicine International Collective, Dr. Ian Williams (The Bad Doctor, The Lady Doctor, The Graphic Medicine Manifesto).

This event was held in conjunction with Mental Health Awareness Month and the 60th anniversary of Lucy’s “The Doctor Is In” sign first appearing on her psychiatry booth (from a Peanuts strip first published on May 4, 1961).
