Superman-Tim February, 1943

Back in 1942, a company called Tim Publications began issuing a series of 6″ x 9″ promotional booklets to various clothing stores to give to young customers. These Superman-Tim booklets promoted a line of children’s clothing. They were printed in two colors and in addition to selling sweaters and slacks, they strived to build moral character through an organized club. They at first featured mostly games and activities, with later issues spotlighting a series of adventure stories starring Superman and Tim. The Superman-Tim booklets were issued for only eight years, and only in selected parts of the country. These scarce booklets had a fairly low print run, and don’t really turn up for auction that often, but we have a nice selection in this week’s sale. Check ‘em out!…
