Riceviamo da Murat Mihcioglu: Aspettando RED SONJA, il film… Creato da Roy Thomas e Barry Windsor-Smith aderendo all’universo barbarico di Robert E. Howard, Red Sonja è tra le famme fatale più conosciute nel mondo dei fumetti. Sono passati parecchi anni da quando Brigitte Nielsen, l’ex di Sylvester Stallone, aveva interpretato il ruolo della principessa selvaggia. Ultimamente, esiste un progetto con Rose McGowan come star, e il suo fidanzato Robert Rodriguez come produttore. Due poster promozionali dell’anno scorso mostravano McGowan (l’ex fidanzata di Marilyn Manson e star di Grindhouse che è nata in Italia) in pose intriganti. Sembrava perfetta per il casting! Purtroppo Rodriguez non ha potuto trovare soldi per cominciare la produzione. Ora, c’è un nuovo poster promozionale, che stavolta indica il 2010 come il ritorno della “famme fatale dei barbari”. Ma non sarà prima del 2011 che potremo vedere McGowan nel “bikini metallico”, uccidendo e viaggiando in un mondo senza legge, ne’ pietà… Il regista sarà Douglas Aarniokoski. Red Sonja è stata immortalata nelle pagine dei fumetti con lo spirito dell’era Hyboriana da artisti noti come John Buscema, Frank Thorne, Ernie Chan, Barry Windson-Smith e Gil Kane. It was way back in 1985 that the “she-devil with a sword” was seen on the silver screen, in a production that had failed probably due to “mis-casting” with Brigitte Nielsen, ex-wife of Sylvester Stallone. This time, the savage beauty will be played by Rose McGowan, star of the recent Grindhouse movies who is engaged to Rodriguez… McGowan, once related to Marilyn Manson, had impressed the potential moviegoers even with her looks in the promotional posters, in one of which she licked blood from her sword. Unfortunately, the pre-production phase of the project seems to take long. Hence, a new poster, this time signaling 2010 as the release year was distributed on the net. Realistic sources indicate that the new Red Sonja movie, which will be directed by Douglas Aarniokoski will yet wait for 2011. Red Sonja, one of the most charming female characters in the world of comics, was created by Roy Thomas and Barry Windsor-Smith as a powerful addition to the concepts of Robert E. Howard.
