The undisputed superhero of my childhood was Donald Duck’s alter ego Phantomias (that’s what he’s called in German-speaking countries), Paperinik in Italy (where he was invented), Duck Avenger in the USA, Superduck in the UK, etc. The gadgets, the super suit, the flying 313, the jump boots, the secret elevator in the wardrobe; I can still feel the enthusiasm I had for him as a child – I might have been six or seven at the time – for him today…
