www.afnews.info segnala: Donna Barr (born 13 August 1952, USA) is a graphic storyteller.

Common elements in her work are fantastic human/animal hybrids and German culture. She is best known for two of her series — “Stinz” and “The Desert Peach”.

“Stinz” tells stories about a society of centaur-like people in a setting reminiscent of pre-industrial Germany. From 1986, it was published by Eclipse Comics, Thoughts & Images, MU Press, and A Fine Line Press (Barr’s own company).

Her other long-running series is about Col. Pfirsich Rommel, the fictional gay younger brother of Field Marshal Erwin ‘The Desert Fox’ Rommel, set in North Africa during World War II. “The Desert Peach” has been published since 1987 by Thoughts & Images, Fantagraphics Books, Mu Press, and A Fine Line Press.
