Spend Summer Creating!
​Let your child’s creativity thrive at Cartoon Camp
The Cartoon Art Museum invites students age 10-15 to explore the world of comic book creation! These half day afternoon camps are designed for young intermediate level creators who already enjoy drawing and are looking to build skills. Campers will learn how to create vivid characters craft complete comic stories and create their own mini comics! Join us for one or all three sessions:
Week 1: June 19th – 23rd
Week 2: June 26th – 30th
Week 3: July 31st – August 4th

The Queer Comics Expo (QCE) is an annual event to celebrate queer culture and promote diverse queer representation in comics, animation and other great ways to tell stories.
The Cartoon Art Museum has once again partnered with the Queer Cultural Center to organize the Queer Comics Expo as part of the annual National Queer Arts Festival for a fourth year.

First Annual Prism Awards to Recognize LGBTQAI+ Comics and Creators

Prism Comics and the Queer Comics Expo are proud to announce the first annual Prism Awards! These awards will be presented to comic works by queer authors and works that promote the growing body of diverse, powerful, innovative, positive or challenging representations of LGBTQAI+ characters in fiction or nonfiction comics. The goal of the awards is to recognize, promote and celebrate diversity and excellence in the field of queer comics.

Winners announced at the Queer Comics Expo in San Francisco, July 8-9, 2017.

Called “funny, heartbreaking and unflinching” by NPR, Roz Chast is one of the most celebrated and beloved cartoonists working in the United States today. Explore over 200 drawings, original New Yorker cartoons, illustrations from her book “Can’t We Talk About Something More Pleasant?”, videos, and a walk-in life-sized recreation of one of her cartoons.
