In effetti ve lo avevamo preannunciato tempo fa, che sarebbe successo qualcosa di particolare all’aeroporto di Bruxelles. Eccolo!
Un aereo della Brussels Airlines (parte del Lufthansa Group e mebro di Star Alliance), un Airbus A320, ha ora in livrea il famoso giovane reporter belga insieme al suo Milou, con un disegno che richiama il sommergibile creato dal professor Girasole nel corso dell’avventura Il Tesoro di Rackham il Rosso (che, a quanto pare, sarà oggetto del prossimo film con Tintin). Non fatichiamo a immaginare che i fan di Tintin faranno carte false pur di poterci volare.
The velivolo è stato battezzato “Rackham” e sulla fusoliera si legge “Vi facciamo volare fino alla casa di Tintin”. Il disegno è stato realizzato da Andre Eisele, che ha dovuto adattare la grafica originale alle forme dell’aereo, e ha richiesto 1.500 ore/uomo di lavoro. La cosa sarebbe molto piaciuta a Hergé, che ha disseminato i suoi albi con un sacco di splendidi velivoli.
“This aircraft is a dream come true. The partnership with Brussels Airlines is a perfect marriage for us. Tintin is all about Belgium, all about Brussels, where he was born, as was Hergé. Tintin is also all about adventure and travelling, and with this plane we bring our two worlds together perfectly. We had many ideas about the design of the aircraft, it could have been the rocket from the album “Destination Moon” for example, but we unanimously chose the submarine, and we’re very happy with the result.” ha detto Nick Rodwell, boss della Moulinsart, la società che, come sapete, gestisce l’opera di Hergé.
“I was personally brought up with the comic albums of Tintin, I learned to read with them. This partnership means a lot to Brussels Airlines. Tintin is a frequent traveler, discovered countries around the world and met people of different nationalities and cultures during his adventures. Abroad, we feel like an ambassador of Belgium. In all we do, we build on our Belgitude while emphasizing on ‘the best of Belgium’; Tintin fits perfectly into this positioning and represents the characteristics that we also want to put forward: being open minded and welcoming.” è quanto affermato da Bernard Gustin, CEO Brussels Airlines.
Dopo l’inaugurazione della mattina c’è stato il primo volo del Rackham, 1 ora e 45 minuti verso Toulouse.
