Disney, DreamWorks, Pixar, Lucasfilm, Sony in Wage Theft Scandal

We had already talked about the great wage-theft scandal named ‘Techtopus’, which involved many of Silicon Valley‘s major animation studios; now, here are the latest news:

The Walt Disney Co., Dreamworks Animation and Sony Pictures Animation are among the defendants in a new class-action suit, contending that the studios and other visual effects and animation companies conspired to suppress wages via “non-poaching” agreements between the companies.

Also named in the lawsuit, filed on Monday in federal court in San Jose, are Pixar, Lucasfilm and its division Industrial Light and Magic, Digital Domain, and ImageMovers Digital.   1. Mi sa che alla prossima ‘View Conference’ salterà fuori anche questo argomento, che lo si voglia o no.

    1. Mica detto. “Lasciamo fare agli inquirenti, abbiamo piena fiducia che tutto verrà chiarito.” – non è una formula che abbiamo in esclusiva. La Disney ha aderito subito alle disposizioni, convinta di non avere nulla da nascondere, per cui non diamo per scontato che, salvo domande in proposito, abbiano interesse a parlare dell’argomento.
