Il nostro corrispondente Laurent Mélikian ci invia il suo reportage da Cherbourg, dove è stata inaugurata una grande mostra dedicata ad André Juillard. Summer exhibit, La Boîte à dessins d’André Juillard in Cherbourg. 400 originals by André Huillard are exhibited in La Boîte à dessin d’André Juillard at the Musée des beaux artsThomas-Henry in Cherbourg-Octeville (Normandy). Enki Bilal in 2002 and François Schuiten in 2004, already had an exhibit in the same museum. It’s now settled, with the help of gallery owner Christian Desbois, Cherbourg will welcome a comics author’s work each two year for the Biennale de la
Bande Dessinée. La Boite à dessin d’André Juillard was inaugurated on June 15th by Andre Juillard himself and Bernard Cazeneuve, Mayor of Cherbourg-Octeville. Also present, the script writer Pierre Christin who worked with André Juillard on his late album Le long Voyage de Léna, to be released by Dargaud in September. A part of the exhibit shows the whole 54 original boards with a special text for each board written by Pierre Christin. The exhibit wil be open free until October 1st.
