We receive from the CBBD: Dear friends, Next Tuesday 25th April, we inaugurate in the Belgian Comic Strip Centre our big summer exhibition: Rhâââ Gotlib. The French cultartist Gotlib was at the root of a revolution in 20th-century European comic strips. With Gai-Luron, Rubrique-à-Brac, Hamster Jovial, Pervers Pépère and other feats of literary and graphic prowess, Marcel Gotlib invented a new kind of devastating humour, as well as the author’s comic. As a prince of the burlesque and an animal lover, he gave due credit to the dominant role of the ladybird in nature. As icing on the cake, he even popularized the works of Isaac Newton, at the same time promoting the consumption of green vegetables... Info: www.cbbd.be.
