BRUXELLES - Chiude lo stampatore Casterman Imprimerie che per tanti anni ha stampato le avventure di Tintin. La tipografia, situata a Tournai nel sud del Belgio, era in crisi dal 1999, quando si era separata dalla casa editrice. Casterman Imprimerie aveva l’esclusiva per le edizioni francesi di Tintin, con tirature di circa un milione di albi l’anno. In previsione della chiusura, Casterman aveva fatto stampare grosse riserve di Tintin, per cui gli albi non dovrebbero venire a mancare in libreria. Casterman si era sdoppiata nel 1999 quando Flammarion ne aveva acquistato la divisione editoriale. In seguito Flammarion era stata comprata dalla Rizzoli Corriere della Sera.

BRUSSELS - Casterman Imprimerie of Tournai, the printer of French editions of Tintin’s adventures, has filed for bankruptcy after financial difficulties since its ties to the editorial house of the same name were cut in 1999. It printed about one million copies per year of the Herge's Tintin books in French. Stocks were built up in view of this closure, so Tintin is unlikely to disappear from book stores. Casterman was split in two in 1999 when Flammarion bought the editorial division, Casterman Editions. Flammarion was later bought by Italy's Rizzoli Corriere della Sera.
